News Article about Zoah Church
Zoah S. S. Celebration
Although Zoah is in the "dark corner" the citizens of that prosperous neighborhood are wide awake, hospitable and public spirited. This was thoroughly demonstrated last Saturday when the Zoah Sunday School gave a picnic.
There was a large number of Sunday Schools present. Considering the fact that there had been a big Sunday School picnic at the fairgrounds on Thursday, and the Old Settlers' Meeting at Lexington, and the Deputy Camp meeting, there was an unusually large crowd of people. Some very large delegations were present. The singing was varied and excellent, the speeches were of a high order and the day one long to be remembered. The success is largely due to George F. Hartley of Zoah, who was Master of Ceremonies.
