Teaching has been one of the most intellectually challenging and personally rewarding components of my training. Through these experiences, I developed a series of central beliefs which guide my teaching. First, I seek to understand the perspective of each student and ensure their views are valued. I aim to achieve this by ensuring I spend adequate time understanding their views, both by listening to them, but also by spending time educating myself on other perspectives. Recognizing I am at the beginning of my journey, I view each interaction as an opportunity to learn about diverse perspectives.

Professor Langford is genuinely one of the best professors I have had at UNC... ...The class was organized, well thought out, and Professor Langford kept everyone engaged. Professor Langford was also always quick to respond to my comments or question outside of the classroom.
Scott was extraordinarily approachable and friendly. I met with him outside of class and he went above and beyond to help me understand my mistakes and perform better on future examinations. I really appreciated Scott's help.
