Scotscraig Scottish Country Dancing Group was established in 1960 and has been a staunch supporter of Scottish Country Dancing in Victoria and the Camberwell area. Scotscraig's teacher Mary Buckingham, is also the President of the Group and has been dancing at Scotscraig since 1978.
Scotscraig welcomes everyone to come and join their Group. There is no age limit and no experience is required, just a sense of good fun.
Scotscraig Scottish Country Dancing Group holds regular classes every Thursday evening, running from March to November, commencing at 8.00pm - 10.00pm. (Excluding Maundy Thursday at Easter).
Dances are taught and walked through at each class.
These classes are held at the Camberwell Uniting Church Hall, 314 Camberwell Road, Camberwell, Victoria. The cost per person for a class is $8.00 which can be paid by cash, E.F.T or tap and go on the night.
For those attending for the first time, your first class is free. A good excuse to come and check us out.
Scotscraig Scottish Country Dancing Group hosts 4 Socials per year. Each Social is held on the 4th Saturday of the appropriate month and each Social also has a theme.
Socials are a chance for people from other groups to attend and to dance different dances and meet up with old friends and make new acquaintances.
First Social is in April and is an A.N.Z.A.C theme.
Second Social is in June and is a Christmas theme.
Third Social is in August and is a Springtime theme.
Fourth Social is in October and is a Halloween theme.
