The final score of a baseball game might seem like the ultimate goal, but for a scorekeeper, the true essence of the game lies in every pitch, swing, and play. This summer, while being off work I felt a certain stress in my body. I didn’t care much for it until I got back to work listening to my coworkers complaining there’s no football during summer. One thing about baseball is that it goes through summer, something us Europeans aren’t used to.
I finally had the chance to go back to my old habits and score a ballgame. The feeling it gives is just amazing! My body and mind gets centered and I feel everything connect the way it feels my body are build for. There’s no stress or performance connected to the feeling, though one could argue the game goes a bit fast these days. For me it’s mindfulness in it’s best form! I don’t care much for the final score.
