Product Description
The vision for this project is to create an oscilloscope that is both convenient and affordable for students in introductory engineering courses as well as engineering hobbyists. Our idea is a pen-like wireless oscilloscope that will have the functionalities of a bench-top oscilloscope and the flexibility/portability of a handheld multi-meter. Scopen will capture voltage waveforms and send them wirelessly to a user’s device such as a computer or a smartphone. It will be designed for comfortable use with one hand; this will be implemented with a built-in scroll wheel that the user can use to change settings such as time division and voltage division. Our goal for Scopen is to have the capability to accurately capture signals within a 5MHz bandwidth, with maximum voltages of 20V peak-peak, and minimum voltages of 100mV peak-peak. With these specifications, we aim to compete with other similar products.
