The School of Language Sciences at The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad, has the distinct pleasure of announcing the 16th Students’ Conference of Linguistics in India (SCONLI-16), organized in formal association with the Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysuru, continuing a valued collaboration dedicated to the advancement of linguistic scholarship. This edition of the conference will be hosted from 07 to 09 January 2026 on our Hyderabad campus.
We invite abstract submissions from postgraduate students and research scholars (MPhil/PhD) for oral and poster presentations. We seek contributions presenting original, unpublished research spanning the full spectrum of linguistic science, from theoretical to applied domains.

Abstracts are to be submitted anonymously; authors must omit any identifying information including names, affiliations, or acknowledgements within the abstract document and must fall within the range of 800 to 1200 words, exclusive of references and supplementary materials.
Submissions are to be formatted for A4 with uniform margins of 2.54 cm on all sides, set in 11-point Times New Roman font. The main body of the abstract is strictly limited to two pages. A third page may be included solely for references, figures, tables, or images; no additional prose is permitted on this page. Data and illustrative examples are to be incorporated within the two-page textual analysis. Files must be submitted in PDF format. All citations and references must conform to the APA 7th edition guidelines.
Authors may appear on a maximum of two submissions and may serve as sole author on only one abstract. Note that contributions co-authored with faculty members are not eligible; however, collaborative work among students and research scholars is accepted.
