About Scoil Caoimhín Naofa

St.Kevin's NS was established in April 1908 and we are situated just outside of Ferns, Co.Wexford.

Our school caters for 59 pupils. On completion pupils usually transfer to the FCJ Secondary school and Bunclody Vocational College.

The school caters for the full range of classes from Junior Infants to Sixth Class. It is an inclusive school and caters for children of all abilities.

There are 3 full time teachers, 1 S.N.A. and an S.E.T. shared with Ballyduff N.S. Ancillary staff include our secretary Ms.Murphy, our cleaner Mrs.Hendrick, our caretaker Séan and the various other people from the local community who help out and care for the upkeep of our school.

Mrs. E Gahan teaches 4th - 6th class in the school, Ms. Grace teaches 1st - 3rd class and Mrs.Kelly, the Deputy Principal, teaches junior and senior infants.

We have a full suite of lap tops and an interactive whiteboard in each classroom. We have a computer coding program in place and we have integrated G Suite for Education and Aladdin in the school.

We have a new full size AstroTurf pitch and school garden. We are working hard this year at attaining our Active Flag, our Green Schools Flag and on becoming a Digital School of Distinction!

In St.Kevin’s NS we put the happiness of our pupils at the heart of everything we do. It is our aim to create an inclusive, safe, caring and happy environment open to the wonder of learning. We want to facilitate the personal, social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical development of each student in reaching their full potential. We endeavour to nurture the self-belief of each student and to develop our school as a community of learners. We also strive to nurture active partnership between parents/guardians, students, staff and the wider community.

We operate on the philosophy that everything Physical, Mental and Spiritual within us can be improved upon every single day.
