Our new school crest was created through a wonderful “Design a Crest” competition involving pupils from 3rd to 6th class. The standard of entries was exceptionally high, making it impossible to select just one overall winner. Instead, key elements from the outstanding finalist designs were thoughtfully combined to create our final crest.
The design was finalised through a collaboration between staff and a local graphic designer to ensure the final artwork is of a professional standard for printing and embroidery.
The colours chosen for the crest reflect the colours of our new school uniform, strengthening our sense of identity and unity.
Each element of the crest holds special meaning:
The Hand and the Ball – Symbolises the many sports and activities we enjoy, while also representing the idea that the future of the world is in the hands of our children.
The Waves and the Sea – Reflect our location in Lahinch and our strong connection to the sea and local community.
The Two Children – Represent our school motto of kindness and friendship, highlighting the importance of caring relationships.
The Book, Paintbrush and Music Note – Symbolise the richness of daily school life, celebrating learning, creativity and the arts.
This crest is a true reflection of our students, our values, and our community. It is a symbol we are proud to carry forward together.
