Objectives /Expected results
Europe, a continent rich in history and culture, is home to many values and principles. These values are also recognized as global values and generally include basic principles such as human rights, democracy, rule of law, equality, tolerance, science, social justice, environmental awareness, cultural diversity and freedom of expression, respect for cultural diversity. These values are recognized by the European Union and the international community as universal norms, global values.
These global values are taught to today's children, the citizens of the future, primarily in the family and in schools, raises children to be responsible individuals who will adapt to the global society. In this academic year (2024-2025) (14-19 years old), we will continue with the subject of television, which we have not examined so far. Due to our topic, we will consider the social role and impact of television from a scientific perspective. Because we foresee that television is an important tool in transferring and internalizing these global values and global citizenship awareness to societies.
We contribute to raising the ideal human, global citizen model in accordance with the European Values (which are desired to be raised in schools, eTwinning projects and families) and the purpose of eTwinning projects. All these topics and aims will be explored in this year's Scientific Blunders-4 Project, specifically under the title 'Eu Values and Global Citizenship Awareness and our TV broadcast'.
According to the European Values and the value of global citizenship, we want to investigate the history and reflection of television on technology and societies. Thus, together with our students, we will investigate the history of television, television models up to the present day, the effects of television on nature, society and European Values (global values) through scientific research and visual arts (cartoon / comic book, acrostic poem writing, painting, etc.).
We will research global citizens (global idols) who are/will be role models for students in television broadcasts (movies, series, comedy programs) in our country and/or in the world. Thus, with our project, we will contribute to the learning of concepts accepted as European Values or global values (concepts such as human rights, democracy, rule of law, equality, tolerance, science, citizenship, etc.).
Again, based on European Values (global values) and the value of global citizenship, we will increase students' values and interest in science and draw attention to the importance of positive, scientific and critical thinking. We aim to do this with an interdisciplinary and project-based approach.
In our project, we plan to provide students with 21st century skills and to achieve the goals of our project by using different methods and techniques (web2 and artificial intelligence tools, brainstorming, art activities, reading, writing and presentation, resource scanning, etc.).
