Scientific writing can be dense and inaccessible - Here are some popular science articles I've written for the science communication website Ecology for the Masses.
In Silico Science: Ecology Without the Nature (May 2020) - A piece about the role of theoreticians and mathematicians in ecology and evolution, including some philosophy of science, and some reflections on how the COVID-19 pandemic put theoretical modelling in the spotlight.
Behavioral Ecology for the Masses (April 2019) - A short introduction to the field of behavioral ecology, and the importance of understanding why animals act the way they do.
Are Animals Doing the Wrong Thing? (March 2019) - A 'Paper of the week' segment breaking down my article in Evolution about asymmetric fitness functions and bet-hedging.

I am also passionate about spreading scientific knowledge about the ongoing climate and biodiversity crises, and I advocate direct action to hopefully influence the direction of our society at a slightly higher pace than what the traditional academic outlets can. I have worked with Extinction Rebellion, its academic offshoot Scientist Rebellion, and Stopp Oljeletinga!, the Norwegian version of the Just Stop Oil campaign.
