Doctoral School of Fundamental Sciences
Over two days, PhD students from the Doctoral School of Fundamental Sciences (EDSF) will present their research through short talks and poster sessions, alongside invited keynote lectures. The programme combines scientific sessions with discussion breaks and social moments. Prizes will be awarded for the best talks and the best posters!
The Scientific Days aim to showcase the research carried out within the EDSF and are open to PhD students as well as to UCA staff connected to the EDSF.
Please note that participation in the Scientific Days is required as part of the PhD curriculum validation.
Lunch will be provided for PhD students (upon registration).
In the spirit of inclusivity, speakers are encouraged to explain their results in an accessible way for a broad scientific audience. This year, English is mandatory for all contributions (talks, posters, and slides).
Talks: 15 min oral presentation + 5 min Q&A (slides in .pdf or .ppt).
Posters: 3 min flash presentations (to announce your poster) + dedicated exchange sessions during the coffee breaks. The EDSF will cover the printing of your poster (upon request via the registration form).
Attend only (no presentation): If you only wish to attend the event, please still register (especially if you would like to be included in the meal count).
The full programme will be available here.
Please note that lunch is provided only for PhD students.
Juries: We plan to form juries of 3–5 permanent staff members to evaluate and award the talks and posters. There will be one jury per half-day; jury members are therefore expected to attend their assigned half-day, but are free to leave afterwards. If you would like to join a jury, please indicate this in the registration form.
Attend only: If you only wish to attend the event, please still register to help us estimate attendance.
