Lise Arleth

Lise Arleth is the Associate Dean of Research and Professor of BioPhysics at the Niels Bohr Institute within the Faculty of Science. In her talk, she will provide an overview of postdoc and assistant professor statistics at the Faculty of SCIENCE, and where postdocs have gone on to do after working at KU. In addition, Lise will provide an overview of the academic career path, focussing on the process and what factors are important for starting a group.

Jens Friis Lund

Jens Friis Lund is Professor of Political Ecology at the Department of Food and Resource Economics within the Faculty of Science. His research concerns inequality, justice, and knowledge politics in the context of socio-environmental change. In 2019, he co-founded the independent researcher-based Klima- og Omstillingsrådet, which engages in the public debate in Denmark on climate and green transformation from an interdisciplinary and justice-based perspective.

Emil Munck de Voss

Emil Munck de Voss, 28, launched a food technology startup REDUCED with William Lauf Olsen in 2020 to reduce food waste. Their proprietary fermentation and hydrolysis technology converts excess produce into flavor enhancers and soup stocks, which are now sold in more than 200 retailers, including Muji and Gorillas. The company has successfully diverted thousands of pounds of food waste from landfills -- and raised $4 million from investors including Rockstart and The Danish Innovation Fund"

Anita Brozkova

Anita is trained as a molecular biologist and spent more than a decade in research of DNA repair, proteomics and human cell culture work. She is a founder and active member of a science communication network for early career researchers in Copenhagen (the Sci-comm Incubator) and interested in improving knowledge transfer between academics and public/industry. She is also a technical writer at Novo Nordisk where she works to communicate technical information to the healthcare authorities, such as FDA and EMA.

Søren Spanner

Søren Spanner is the CEO and founder of Life Science Talent Solutions, where he helps people identify and pursue careers which allow their unique personality and talents to fully develop and shine. His background as a biotech PhD, his life science industry experience, and his strength-based leadership education provide a unique perspective into the technical, commercial, as well as people-related aspects that exist on the life science scene.

Diana Lund Nordstrøm

Iben Treebak

Iben is an experienced careers specialist, with a professional master's degree in guidance, developing career management training and materials, and providing career education workshops and individual career guidance counselling to PhD students and Postdocs (Early Career Researchers) at the University of Copenhagen.
