Self-paced modules based on the five components of reading
It's been a pleasure sharing these free Science of Reading modules with you over the past few years. To dedicate more time to developing new resources, I've decided to discontinue the modules at the end of December, 2023. However, you'll still have access to the Science of Reading Introduction module. Thank you for your interest and engagement with these modules. Science of Reading PD
This is a self-paced professional development unit designed for K-3 teachers who desire to learn more about the science of reading.
Participants will move through seven self-paced modules focused on each component of reading: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. The phonemic awareness unit will also include a module on sound walls. Estimated time for completion of all the modules is six hours.
