About us

The Science Club at IISER Pune is a student-run space shaped by curiosity, of the kind that doesn’t quite end with a lecture.

We don’t see science as something that sits in textbooks or lecture halls. It shows up in conversations, half-formed ideas, experiments that may or may not work, and the occasional “wait, that’s actually interesting.”

What we do reflects that. We host informal talks, discussions, small activities, larger events, anything that gets people to engage with science a little more actively. Sometimes that means breaking down a new result, sometimes it’s building something simple, and sometimes it’s just looking at a familiar idea from a different angle.

We’re also interested in where science spills over, into art, policy, daily life, or just how people think about the world. Those edges are usually where the better questions come from.

If you tend to get stuck on a “why” or follow a “how” longer than necessary, you’ll probably fit in just fine.
