Surfactant – Polymer compatibility: From miscibility to phase separation (T. Halthur)

In this lecture we will go through the interactions and compatibility of polymers and surfactants in aqueous formulations. We will talk about the importance of understanding and balancing the hydrophobic and electrostatic interactions in these systems, and how small changes in compositions or additions of salt can shift that balance from miscibility to phase separation (associative or segregative).
