A Celebration of Innovation and Sustainability:
National Science Day 2025 was celebrated in Nazareth Convent High School with great enthusiasm, embracing the theme "Science for Sustainable Development: Promoting Green Technologies."
The event aimed to ignite curiosity and foster a deeper understanding of science's role in creating a sustainable future.
The day commenced with a solemn prayer service, setting a reflective tone for the celebrations. This was followed by an engaging street play, "Technology – A Boon or a Bane?" which delved into the darker side of technology, addressing concerns such as social media addiction, cyberbullying, and mental health issues. The performance sparked meaningful discussions among students and teachers.
Tradition Meets Modernity:
A unique segment, "Science Through Time", highlighted the fusion of ancient traditions with modern scientific advancements. The presentation showcased benefits of traditional practices like Surya namaskar, turmeric, and tulsi demonstrating their relevance in today's world.
Tech Talk and Sustainability:
A compelling Tech Talk session encouraged students to analyze the balance between technological advancements and their enviromental impacts. Topics such as AI, smartphones, robotics, and electric vehicles were discussed, allowing students to explore both their benefits and challenges. Additionally, a vibrant dance performance emphasized the urgent need for environmental conservation, reinforcing the school's commitment to sustainability and ecology.
Celebrating the Spirit of Science:
The event concluded on an energetic song, "Science, Science Rocks the World!", followed by a Science quiz that amazed and inspired the audience. Principal Sister Elizabeth Jaya Rani applauded the student's enthusiasm and dedication, emphasizing that science is about exploring, questioning, and innovating.
