I. The Scientific Department is a branch of the Foundation to conduct necessary research on anomalous objects contained within the Foundation, these tests provide important information such as containment protocols, safety hazards, testing procedures and more!

II. The Ethics Committee is an enforcement Department responsible for enforcing the Code of Ethics. EC's primary role is to monitor and investigate unethical activity and behavior within the Foundation, and to take appropriate action to address any violations of Ethics.

III. Class - Disposable personnel of individuals of the Foundation are members of prison inmates convicted of violent crimes, especially those on death row or criminals of the Foundation from former staff positions who've violated the ethical standards of the Foundation.

IV. Combatants are members of the Mobile Task Force and Security Department that sort duties like Escorting for MD and ScD, re-containment on breached anomalies and providing security in general for the Foundation's safety.

V. Anomalies are entities of the Foundation being contained away from other anomalies and human contact, Scientific Personnel are able to conduct tests on these anomalies with Class - Disposable personnel to conduct further research on them for containment protocols and procedures.

I.II :// ScD Duties

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

The Scientific Department is responsible for researching, developing, and implementing containment protocols for anomalies within the Foundation. They conduct this research through experimentation with Class-Disposable personnel, typically accompanied by Combatants in a 1:2 ratio. However, in some cases, Scientific Department may conduct self-testing on less hazardous anomalies without Combatant escorts.

Interview [RS+]

Interview protocols require Combatant escorts only for Euclid or higher-classed anomalies, as a safeguard against potential containment breaches.

Small Test [RS+]

Small tests refer to experimentation with anomalies that do not require Class-D personnel or have minimal Class-D involvement.

Moderate Test [RS+]

Moderate tests involve multiple Class-D personnel (1-2) and one or more observers.

Mass Test [SR+]

Mass tests are highlighted by a large number of Class-D personnel (5+) and multiple observers (3+). These tests tend to be more complex and may involve more complex experimental designs or multiple anomalies.

Special Permissions

Termination Attempt [JR+]

Termination attempts refer to planned efforts to neutralize or eradicate an anomaly, typically initiated by a Head Researcher. These attempts require a comprehensive report and rationale from the Head Researcher to justify the decision to terminate the anomaly.

Cross-Test [JR+]

Cross-tests combine two anomalies to observe the results. Researchers must understand the anomalies well and get approval from the Scientific Department's Research Board. Safe anomalies can be cross-tested without the Research Board's permission if there's a valid reason.

Gas Mask

The Gas masks assists in preventing biohazardous infections that could come into contact with personnel of the site especially the Scientific Department's personnel from being infected. Breath Air, live long.

Be-aware, the gas mask does not prevent skin-contact infections.

Tracker

The tracker allows personnel of the Scientific Department to place a collar onto a Class-D personnel to prevent unneeded problems, how so is by equipping the collars within the Briefing Rooms, Class-D can be instantly terminated by a click of a button. This could be very helpful when testing in S-4.

This tool is not to be abused for fun, doing so will result in punishable consequences.

Authorize Tool

The Authorization tool grants Class-D Personnel special permissions to exit outside of the Class-D Containment Zone, Scientific Personnel, Medical Personnel and Diplomatic Personnel have access to this tool to conduct their duties.

While there is no limit on its usage, it's important to exercise caution and only authorize personnel when necessary for test purposes.

Containment Clearance cards

Personnel of the Scientific Department have special access to anomalous containment sectors, some sectors are known to contain anomalous entities of non-lethal entities and some of the most lethal.

C-C Safe : Gives access to Safe Containment of the site, personnel RS+
C-C Euclid : Gives access to Euclid Containment Chambers, personnel R+

C-C Keter : Gives Access to Keter Containment Chambers, personnel SR+

Grading

Test logs are reviewed by the management team. Personnel receive grades from X to A, with low scores possibly leading to disciplinary action. Breaching the Code of Conduct or Ethics may result in strikes, suspension, or dismissal from the department.

Rewards

Researchers can earn Medals and Ph.D.s for outstanding work. Medals are given for excellent testing and research on dangerous anomalies or new discoveries. Ph.D.s are earned through detailed research and remarkable results, showcasing expertise and dedication.

Discharged personnel will lose their Medals/PH.D's and progress on leave. Members of the Scientific Department are not authorized to remain within the communications server.

The Medal of Discovery is an award that goes to researcher(s) who discover a crucial detail that changes how an anomaly is tested and understood. This can impact re-containment procedures as well as changing how personnel come across it.

🧮Medal of Integrity

The Medal of Integrity is an award given to researchers who score B or A when testing multiple dangerous anomalies. They must show professionalism, good judgment, and ethical behavior during the entire testing process.

💪Medal of Bravery

The Medal of Bravery is an award given to a researcher who shows great courage and quick thinking when preventing a disaster during testing of a dangerous anomaly. It honors their bravery and ability to act fast in a potentially catastrophic situation.

The Medal of Scientific Excellence is an award given to researchers who exceed expectations in many tests, showing their hard work and dedication. It is a way to say thank you to those who do great work and help the Foundation's research.

The Medal of Honor is the best award a researcher can get. It is given to people who do amazing research and are very committed to the Foundation's goals. The Directorate usually gives this medal to thank the person for helping science and protecting people.

🎉Medal of Certification

The Medal of Certification signifies successful completion of the Research Student Course, a rigorous assessment of a researcher's abilities. This medal is a mark of understanding and observation to take the first step toward a career in the Scientific Department.

The Platinum Medal of Research is awarded to researchers who have earn rank A 3 times in a row through their research efforts. Must have Golden Medal of Research

The Golden Medal of Research is awarded to researchers who have earn rank B or higher 3 times in a row through their research efforts. Must have Silver Medal of Research

III.I :// Research Regulations & Protocol

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

I. Personnel must follow the Code of Conduct and Ethics set by the Scientific Department and Ethics Committee. Not doing so can lead to disciplinary action. Any reports of rule-breaking or unethical behavior must be sent to the Departmental Research Board.

II. While professional conduct is not mandated, it is highly required during tests. The Scientific Department does not have a mandatory dress-code, but it is recommended to follow dress-coded laws within the Code of Ethics [11.1.6].

III. Treat everyone in the Foundation with dignity and respect, including Class-D personnel and allied GoI's. Disrespectful, discriminatory, or hateful behavior is not allowed. We work together and value ethics, responsibility and mutual respect.

IV. The Chain of Command is important for the Foundation to work well. All personnel must respect their superiors and follow orders. Subordinates help superiors, and supervisors help their team. The Chain of Command helps with quick decision-making and good communication.

V. Scientific Personnel are required to adhere to all directives and instructions issued by the Scientific Department, Foundation Executives, The Ethics Committee, or Internal Security Department (ISD) personnel. Failure to comply with these orders may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination from the Scientific Department.

VI. Within the Scientific Department, there's a ratio of Combatants to Class-D, 1:2/0:0 is the general ratio, while Euclid Containment is 2:2, Sector 3 and Sector 4 have the same ratio, but they require RCU(Recontainment Units).

VII. Researchers must stay for the whole test or it will be stopped. Don't test on Broken Anomalies because they're unstable and not useful. Check the Anomaly Discovery page before testing to know their status.

VIII. Infected/Hazardous Class-D personnel are to be terminated immediately after testing as to not spread infection or cause harm to other personnel of the test or site.

IX. Within a test, the Scientific Department has full authority within it, they may request a combative, spectator and subject to be dismissed when needed, and must use reasonable judgement to excuse them. However, they may not excuse Executives and Enforcement Personnel.

X. Outside of testing, you're authorized to meta-game, but within testing areas personnel are not to Meta-game and act oblivious to current known knowledge unless it has already been found.

XI. Along side professionalism, personnel that hold the rank of Middle Command and above have a specific title before their surname, personnel of the Department can be called Researcher or ScD, but Middle Command+ will be called Dr./Prof./Dir. [Surname]

III.II :// Testing Procedures

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

I. Prior to conducting a test, personnel must make sure there is the appropriate number of combatives to Class-D personnel on-site, that way CDCZ is staffed and so is your test! Interviews or solo testing do not require combatant escorts unless they're Euclid/Keter class.

II. Scientific Personnel ranked Research Students must have a Supervisor present throughout the test while conducting their orientation, if not, the Research Student may be striked and disciplined for testing without a supervisor.

III. Before starting a test, Scientific Personnel must use the Radio Comm to request desired Class-D personnel and Combative personnel, but if a combatant is already present, request normally through chat. Combatants may refuse within valid reasoning.

You may use this format to request for escorts/D-Class:

“Requesting X Combative(s) and X Class-D(s) in briefing room.”

IV. Once you've completed this, you may proceed to the briefing, it is necessary for Class-D personnel to be briefed on the escorting protocols, but may request to skip the brief anytime. Testing Procedures cannot be skipped.

V. Medical personnel may request permission to conduct a medical examination on the Test-Subject, before/during/after the test. But, the Medical Personnel must provide their findings to the Scientific Personnel.

VI. After the subject has been briefed, you may lead the test to the Testing Area, the Test-Subject must remain with the group otherwise the escort is authorized to terminate the subject.

VII. Upon reaching the testing chamber, the Scientific Personnel must instruct the Class-D personnel to the wall and brief the subject on the Testing Procedures, this allows for communication between the Researcher and the Subject(s) to gain the desired results.

VIII. Once the test has concluded, with either the Class-D personnel being terminated during testing, or the Class-D personnel surviving, if there is no abnormalities to the subject, they may return back to CDCZ, otherwise they're to be immediately terminated upon completion of the test.

III.III :// Supervisor Guidelines

I. Scientific Personnel may not dismiss Supervising personnel of the Scientific Department unless they're rank Junior Researcher+, Supervisors are only REQUIRED for Research Students to complete an orientation process.

II. Supervisors are authorized to halt tests during an alarm, if the test may cause a breach or riot, or if the test is in violation of the Code of Ethics and/or Code of Conduct. This is not rank restricted, the supervisor may halt the test of any rank.

III. How a Researcher+(Supervisor) can request the promotion of the Research Student is by posting a message format in the Communication server and sent in the Supervised test results channel pinging themselves, the HR and the Student.

IV. The Supervisor may assist the Research Student at anytime and even give a tour by request of the Student, otherwise the test is primarily on the Student to conduct. The supervisor may ask the Student to re-test if they deem the test unable to be fit for a promotion.
