Basic shelters & pavilions: Structures basically to protect from sun and rain. Half-high walls and/or open to two or more sides.

Shelters & lean-to: Shelters and lean-tos with typically three walls often located in the countryside.

Huts & Cottages: Small buildings intended to provide good shelter and sleeping accommodation. Shelters with "house character". (orange) and huts & cottages with doors and windows (yellow)

Observation- & watchout towers: Towers that used to overview a specific area. Due to their construction often very well suited for overnight stay.

Ruins: Abandoned, ruined buildings which can used (at own risk!) for basic shelter and sleeping accommodation.

Bivouacs: Localities that are suitable for camping and may have any of a number of facilities: toilets, water tap, BBQ, benches, table with benches and covered pavilions for bad weather.
