Every year, SCHOA elects a variety of positions to the SCHOA board. This year, we are looking for the following positions:
President-Elect (3-year term)
Treasurer/Secretary (2-Year Term)
Marketing/Technology Chair (1-year term)

Professional Development Coordinator (1-year term
SCHOA is looking for excited, engaged, and dedicated folks to participate in these roles! The SCHOA Board is an excellent place for you to learn leadership skills, develop new relationships,s and grow in your professional development. The time commitment is anywhere between 2-4 hours a week (on average), with 1 hour being dedicated to a weekly board meeting and 1-2 hours (on average) being dedicated to tasks. While the role is not a 40 hour a week commitment, it is expected to put time aside to ensure we can serve our state well. We have big ideas we'd like to accomplish this next academic year, including monthly professional development opportunities, networking events, and other ways to get involved. Come be a part of shaping South Carolina's College and University Housing professionals!
We highly encourage you to complete this nomination form if you plan to run for any positions listed here, as to ensure we keep elections to an efficient and fair process. Nominations will still be taken from the floor, but we encourage you to plan ahead with your speech (2-3 minutes) prepared!
Click here to nominate yourself or another individual! The Nomination form will close at the start of the SCHOA 2026 conference, 9am on October 13.
