We are all currently experiencing an array of emotions on a daily basis, including our children! It's important to allow them to process through the emotions they are feelings and support them in using "tools" to help them manage these BIG emotions. AAPS will be providing Tier 1- Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons to all students at all grade levels to support social and emotional wellbeing. Social and emotional learning (SEL) enhances students’ capacity to integrate skills, attitudes, and behaviors to deal effectively and ethically with daily tasks and challenges. Like many similar frameworks, CASEL’s integrated framework promotes intrapersonal, interpersonal, and cognitive competence.
