Welcome to the Computer Club
Computer Club is held on alternate Tuesdays. Students can utilize a variety of school resources to complete special projects for TJMS and they may access online activities with supervision. Often, participants will complete projects or experiment with software in a way not available to them during regular school hours. Ms. Collins & Dr. Bohny are the Computer club advisors.
We meet on two Tuesdays a month in the Library Rm 236 from 2:51-3:25pm (typically alternating weeks). The other two Tuesdays, participants are expected to work on their coding project on their own. Students should check the Computer Club Google Classroom stream for updates to the schedule. These dates do change due to teacher meetings, conferences, sickness, etc. Any dates with conflicts for the advisors will be moved to another day.
To join the Computer Club for 2025-2026, please follow these steps:
Attend the Interest meeting. Find out what we will be doing. Those who fill in the above form will be contacted via your fairlawnsds Gmail account about the date of the first meeting (which will be a general interest meeting).
Join our Google Classroom (The class code will be distributed at the interest meeting)
The Google Classroom Code will be provided at the first meeting of the Computer Club (as there are a few extra steps with integrating Google Classroom with the coding program that we use so it's not as simple as just providing an access code). Potential club members who fill in the interest form will be notified of the date of the first meeting via your fairlawnsds Gmail account.
Contact Ms. Collins or Dr. Bohny if you are interested in joining after the general interest meeting has been held.
