Meet the Baker

I'm Katie Tanner, the owner of Schoolhouse Sweets! I began decorating in December of 2018 after being inspired from Food Network's Christmas Cookie Challenge.

In addition to being a baker, I'm also a high school English teacher! I love the novel classics, like To Kill a Mockingbird.

I'm a proud wife to my awesome husband, Micah, and the proud mom of Gowan, Cora, and Maeve.

In my free time (what's that anyway!?), I love running, yoga, biking, and reading.

We recently moved to Tennessee from Illinois in December 2019. Now that we're here, I really look forward to making your event sparkle with hand-crafted, specialty desserts!
