WinApp - School Bus Driver is a dedicated application for school bus drivers. The App allows schools to manage their assigned drivers and enables authorized drivers to share the location of an assigned school bus with the school's or transportation organization's authorized system while an active tracking session is running.
WinApp - School Bus Driver operates using a school-based access system.
A school is provided with a unique School Code by the service administrator. The school uses its authorized access to add or register its bus drivers and associate them with the appropriate school, bus, route, or transportation assignment.
Drivers do not independently create a general public account.
A driver can access the App using the mobile number registered by the school. The mobile number is used to identify and authenticate the driver within the relevant school's account.
The school or transportation organization is responsible for ensuring that the driver information it provides is accurate and that only authorized drivers are added to its account.
Depending on the configuration and use of the App, we may collect the following information.
When a school adds a driver, information associated with the driver may be stored, such as:

Location information is the primary information collected by the App during an active tracking session.
When tracking is started, the App may collect:

The location is obtained from the device's location services and is used to determine the current location of the bus.
The App may collect location information while running in the background when an active tracking session has been started.
Background location access is necessary because the driver may lock the phone, switch to another application, or otherwise stop viewing the WinApp application while the bus continues its journey.
The App uses background location specifically to support active school-bus tracking.
The App does not use background location for unrelated advertising, marketing, or general-purpose location profiling.
Location tracking is intended to begin when the authorized driver presses the Start Tracking button.
The driver should stop tracking when the assigned journey or tracking period has ended.
Location information may be used to:

Send periodic location updates to the authorized server.
Allow the school or authorized transportation personnel to monitor the bus.
Associate location updates with the appropriate driver, school, bus, or route.

When bus tracking is active, the App may use an Android foreground service for location tracking.
This allows location tracking to continue while the App is running in the background.
Android may display a persistent notification while the foreground location service is active.
The foreground service is used to support the core functionality of tracking the active school bus.
The App may request access to the device camera if a feature of the App requires the driver to capture an image.
The camera is not used for continuous surveillance.
If the camera functionality is not required in a particular version of the App, the camera permission may not be requested.

The CALL_PHONE permission is used only to support such calling functionality.

The App's primary users are drivers authorized by a school or transportation organization.
Drivers who want to request correction or deletion of their account information should first contact the school or transportation organization that registered their mobile number and manages their driver account.
The school or authorized administrator may be able to disable or remove the driver's access.
