Counseling Mission Statement
The mission of the Quitman school counseling program is to provide all students with a comprehensive school counseling program centered around a rigorous and relevant core curriculum that encourages the highest level of achievement through their growth potential in the social/emotional, career, and academic domains each day with no excuses. In partnership with teachers, parents, administrators, and a supportive community, the school counselors will help all students to be successful in their journey in becoming a productive individual in a global society.
Counseling Vision Statement
The vision statement of the Quitman County School Counseling Department is for all students to reach their full potential in the domains of academics, social/emotional, and career while serving a thriving local community. Every student will experience an accepting and safe environment in which they will gain the necessary skills for elementary/middle/high school, the work force, or college in order to compete in a global society.
Counseling Beliefs Statement
The beliefs of the Quitman school counseling program includes the belief that all students are unique individuals with their own talents, abilities, and skills. We believe that all students possess intrinsic worth and are capable of personal growth and self direction. We believe that our actions should promote the students identification and development of their skills, talents, and interests.
Registration and Withdrawal Information:
If a student is registering at Quitman County Schools, a complete packet is required before that student can start school.
Additionally, if a student is withdrawing, a withdrawal form must be completed and returned before that student can be withdrawn.
