Wellness at Home
Resources for parents and educators
Thanks for checking out this collection of resources to support wellness at home. Feel free to share with anyone who may benefit from this collection.
INDOOR & OUTDOOR PLAY
All students can benefit from a minimum of 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous (heart pumping!) physical activity every day. Physical activity improves physical and mental health, including easing anxiety and depression, and improving sleep.
BOKS AT HOME
With many schools being closed and kids at home, BOKS will share as many games and activities as possible to keep kids active and happy during this difficult time. They know that anxiety is at an all-time high and one of the best ways to reduce stress in kids and adults is to get your daily dose of endorphins – so they want to provide you with as many free and accessible resources as possible.
OPEN PHYSICAL EDUCATION NETWORK
Includes games and calendars for families to use to make their home an Active Home. You will also find resources to help teachers and parents partner together to provide meaningful movement opportunities that progress students toward physical education and social & emotional learning outcomes.

30 CHILDREN'S BOOKS ABOUT RESILIENCE
Resilience can be learned like any other skill. It takes practice and patience. We cannot shield our kids from all of life's disappointments and challenges.
One of the most effective ways is to surround them with books and stories that promote resilience and whose characters have grit. When we read stories, whether true or fictional, that show others facing their problems and overcoming obstacles, we are helping to develop the same mindset in our children.
