Are you a first-year undergraduate college student who has run into scholarly article paywalls while doing research? This online module is for you! After completing the module, you will be able to:
1) Engage critically with the scholarly publishing industry
2) Implement strategies to access scholarly information without running into paywalls
The module consists of three sections, which each have an introduction, an activity, and some takeaways. Each section builds on the last one, so make sure to go through them in order! At the end there is an Additional Resources page containing recommended further reading and a reflection activity.
Note for Instructors: This module addresses the ACRL Frame "Information has Value."
