We are pleased to announce the 2018 edition of the Strings, Cosmology, and Gravity Student Conference, to be held at the Université libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, from the 14th to the 16th of March. Deadline for registration as a speaker is the 2nd of February and as a non-speaker the 6th of March.

The conference is designed to bring together young PhD and early stage postdoctoral researchers working in theoretical high energy physics, especially in the areas of string theory, cosmology, and gravity. One of our primary aims is to give attendants the opportunity to present their research via contributed talks and to form collaborations. The conference is open to all interested graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. After a selection procedure, the interested attendees will be invited to present their work in a 45-minutes or a 25-minutes talk, the latter in case of a parallel session (see the timetable). Special preference will be given to applicants who are members of underrepresented groups.

Alongside the talks enough space will be made for the young researchers to discuss their work and the future of research in theoretical high energy physics. To welcome the participants, a reception will be organised at the end of the first day. On the second day, the participants are invited to join for the conference dinner.

This is the ninth incarnation of the SCGSC conference. For information regarding previous conferences, please consult:
