St Croix Falls Community Garden- Park Rose Marie
Garden Rules and Etiquette
Garden Dates: March – November. Regular gardening time is dawn-dusk, 7 days a week.
Plot and area surrounding plot must be kept free of weeds and looking neat. The plot needs to be planted by June 15 or contact a committee member.
This is an organic garden. Only organic pesticides, fertilizer and herbicides will be allowed. If you use the water don’t leave it unattended and shut it off when you are done. Height of support structures and tall plants will be limited to six feet and will not block the sunlight to other plots.
Children are allowed in the garden if they are supervised by an adult. Please do not allow your child to go into other gardeners’ plots or crush their plants. Pets must be leashed and not allowed to run through the garden or go into other garden plots. Please be mindful that your pet is not crushing other gardeners’ plants or peeing on their plots.
All gardeners must help maintain the common areas of the garden and volunteer for projects on an as-needed basis. Garden committee members will contact gardeners as needs arise. Unused plots may be issued without fee for one season to gardeners who put forth more than normal volunteer time and effort. These plots will be approved by the garden committee upon written request from gardener.
If you are going to be out of town for a while or cannot take care of your garden for some reason let a member of the garden committee know.
The garden committee is the governing authority at the Community Garden. Breaking any rules, terms, and conditions is cause for exclusion from the Garden and loss of your plot. In the event of an infraction:
