Welcome! We are scientists who conduct research on social and cognitive development. Our research uses neuroscience to better understand social and cognitive processes in children and adults with and without Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Dr. Katherine Meltzoff is the Principal Investigator of the lab.

Graduate students in the laboratory work on projects covering a wide range of topics including social motivation, restricted-interests in individual with ASD, probabilistic learning, and the neuroscience of "cute aggression".

We are also affiliated with the UCR SEARCH Clinic, which Dr. Meltzoff directs. The SEARCH Clinic helps provide free autism screenings and community resources for families with ASD.
