ScanX Pro is designed to function primarily offline, with all core features processed directly on your device.

We do not collect, store, or transmit this input data to our servers or any third-party servers.

Scan History: The app saves a history of your scanned QR codes and barcodes. This scan history, including the scanned content, date, and type, is stored exclusively on your device using an internal Room database. This data is not transmitted to our servers or any third-party servers.
App Usage Data: We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (e.g., number of scans, features used) through Google Firebase Analytics. This data helps us understand how the app is used to improve its features and performance. This data does not identify you personally.
Advertising Data (via Google AdMob): ScanX Pro integrates Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob, as a third-party advertising service, may collect certain data to provide personalized ads or measure ad performance. This data may include:

Storage (android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, android.permission.READ_MEDIA_IMAGES for Android 13+): Required if you choose to scan images from your device's gallery or to save generated QR codes as images to your device's storage. We only access files explicitly selected by you for scanning or saving.
Internet (android.permission.INTERNET, android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Required for displaying ads from AdMob and for basic analytics.
Vibration (android.permission.VIBRATE): Used to provide haptic feedback (vibration) when a barcode/QR code is successfully scanned, as per your app settings. This permission does not involve any data collection.
How Your Information is Used
The information collected by ScanX Pro is used for the following purposes:
To enable the core functionality of scanning and generating QR codes and barcodes.
To save your scan history locally on your device for your convenience.
To display relevant advertisements through Google AdMob to support the app's development.
