Effective Date: August 8, 2026
ScanVQ (“ScanVQ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the ScanVQ Android application.
ScanVQ does not require you to create an account and does not directly collect personal information such as your name, email address, telephone number, or physical address.
ScanVQ does not operate a server-side account system for users.
However, third-party services used by the app, such as Google AdMob, may collect or process certain information as described below.
ScanVQ is designed to process scanned documents and files locally on your device.
Your scanned documents, images, PDFs, and OCR results are not uploaded to ScanVQ servers.
ScanVQ does not sell, rent, or share your scanned documents with third parties.
Files created or saved by ScanVQ remain on your device unless you choose to share, export, or otherwise transfer them using features available on your device.
ScanVQ may request camera permission to provide document-scanning functionality.
The camera is used to capture documents or images for scanning.
ScanVQ does not use the camera to collect personal information for advertising or tracking purposes.
You can manage camera permissions through your Android device settings.
ScanVQ may request access to files or media on your device when you choose to import, save, or export documents.
Access is used to provide the requested app functionality.
ScanVQ does not upload your selected files to ScanVQ servers.
ScanVQ uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.
Google AdMob is a third-party advertising service provided by Google. AdMob and its partners may collect or process information such as advertising identifiers, device information, IP address, approximate location, and information related to advertising interactions, depending on applicable settings, consent, and regional requirements.
This information may be used for purposes such as providing, measuring, and improving advertising.
For more information about how Google handles information, please review Google's Privacy Policy:

ScanVQ uses third-party services that may process information independently from ScanVQ.
Google AdMob is used to display advertisements within ScanVQ.
Google may process information according to its own privacy policies and applicable laws.
Google Privacy Policy:

ScanVQ is designed so that scanned documents and files are processed locally on your device rather than being stored on ScanVQ servers.
The security of files stored on your device also depends on the security of your Android device, operating system, and device access controls.
ScanVQ does not maintain a server-side database containing users' scanned documents.
Documents and files created or saved by ScanVQ remain on your device until you delete or move them.
You can delete locally stored files using ScanVQ or your device's file-management functionality, where applicable.
Because ScanVQ does not maintain user accounts or server-side copies of scanned documents, there is no ScanVQ account or server-based document database that requires deletion.
ScanVQ does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe that personal information has been provided to ScanVQ by a child, please contact us so that we can review the situation and take appropriate action.
You can control permissions granted to ScanVQ through your Android device settings.
You may also control certain advertising and privacy settings provided by Google and your Android device, where available.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If this Privacy Policy changes, we will update the Effective Date shown at the beginning of this policy.
We encourage users to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
