Why I started Scantic River Solutions

Starting Scantic River Solutions felt like a natural extension of the life I’ve already lived.

I grew up around horses, small animals, and agriculture, and I’ve spent years seeing firsthand how much work happens behind the scenes to keep these businesses running. The long hours, the unpredictability, and the constant balancing act are things most people outside these industries never fully see.

What I also noticed was how often bookkeeping became one more source of stress for already overwhelmed business owners. Not because they didn’t care—but because there are only so many hours in a day.

I started Scantic River Solutions to provide bookkeeping support that feels approachable, organized, and genuinely helpful. My goal isn’t to overcomplicate things—it’s to help small business owners feel more confident and supported behind the scenes so they can focus on the work they actually love doing.

This business is built on consistency, trust, and understanding the industries I serve—not just from behind a desk, but from lived experience.
