At ScanPro PDF, we believe your documents are your own. We have designed this application with a "Privacy-First" philosophy: all processing happens directly on your device. We do not operate servers to store, process, or backup your data.
1. Information We Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data.
Document Data: When you scan, edit, or manage documents using ScanPro PDF, all files are stored exclusively in the local storage of your mobile device. We do not have access to these files, nor are they ever uploaded to any cloud server or third-party platform.
Camera Usage: The app requires permission to access your camera to allow you to capture document images. These images are processed locally on your device to generate PDFs and are not transmitted to us.
Storage Access: The app requires permission to access your device's local storage to save generated PDFs and allow you to import images. We only access the files you explicitly select or generate within the app.
2. No Server-Side Storage
ScanPro PDF operates entirely offline.
No Data Transmission: We do not maintain any servers or cloud databases.
No Accounts: We do not require account registration, login, or email verification. Because we do not collect this information, we cannot lose it, sell it, or share it.
Your Data Stays With You: Your documents exist only on the hardware of your device. If you lose your device or delete the app without creating your own external backups, we cannot recover your files.
3. Data Retention Policy
Because we do not store your data, our data retention policy is simple:
Active Data: Your documents are retained locally on your device for as long as you choose to keep them.
Deletion: You have full control. You can delete individual documents or entire projects within the app at any time. Once deleted from your device’s local storage, this data is permanently removed.
Uninstalling: If you uninstall ScanPro PDF, any documents or data associated with the app that remain in the app's local sandbox storage will be removed by your device’s operating system.
4. Third-Party Services
We do not use third-party analytics trackers, advertising SDKs, or cloud-syncing services that collect user behavior data. We do not track your usage, your location, or your document scanning habits.
Note: If you choose to use the "Share" function within your device's operating system to send a PDF via email, WhatsApp, or other apps, the privacy policy of those third-party applications will govern how your data is handled once it leaves ScanPro PDF.
5. Updates to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in functionality or legal requirements. Since we do not collect your contact information, we cannot notify you individually. We recommend checking this page periodically.
