This Privacy Policy explains how the 'Scan Note' app ("the App") handles information.
The App does not require sign-up or login, and does not send user data to any developer-owned server. The following features are processed entirely on the user's device:
Camera: Used to capture documents/barcodes for scanning. Captured images are processed on-device for text/barcode recognition only and are not uploaded to any external server.
On-device OCR & Barcode Recognition: The App uses Google ML Kit for on-device text and barcode recognition. Recognition models may be downloaded via Google Play Services, which requires an internet connection. This process may be subject to Google's own Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
Storage access: Used to save and load scanned images and recognition results locally on the user's device. The developer has no access to this data.
File sharing: Only when the user explicitly uses the "Share" feature, the selected file is sent to another app chosen by the user.
Any data processed is used solely to provide the scanning/recognition feature and to save/retrieve results for the user.
The App does not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties. The App does not use advertising or analytics SDKs.
Scanned images and results are stored only on the user's device and are removed when the user deletes them in-app or uninstalls the App.
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction).
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in law, policy, or the App's functionality. Updates will be posted on this page.
