Hi, my name is Karin, a Swedish native and the founder of Scandinavian Wilderness Guides. After years of working as a guide for other companies, I felt something was missing. I wanted to share my personal favorite hikes and treks—experiences that capture the true essence of the Nordic wilderness.

Having spent countless years hiking, trekking, and climbing across the Swedish and Norwegian mountains, I’ve discovered both popular trails and hidden gems that showcase the incredible beauty of Scandinavia. As a certified Swedish Mountain Leader and Wilderness First Responder (NOLS) my goal is to give more people the opportunity to explore these breathtaking landscapes, from serene valleys to rugged peaks.
