By joining Scam Alert, participating in discussions, or submitting scam reports, you acknowledge and agree to follow these Terms and Conditions. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in moderation action, including account restrictions or removal from the server.
To maintain a respectful, secure, and productive environment, all members must follow these rules:
Respect Others: Treat all users with kindness and professionalism. Harassment, threating, discrimination, or hate speech will not be tolerated.
No False Reports: Submitting misleading or false scam reports is strictly prohibited. Reports must be accurate and made in good faith to prevent unnecessary confusion.
No Scam Promotion or Fraudulent Behavior: Any attempt to promote, share, or engage in scams, deceptive practices, or unethical behavior within our community is a violation.
Privacy Considerations: Do not share personal or sensitive information (e.g., addresses, phone numbers, financial details) publicly. Protect your identity at all times.
Follow Discord’s Terms of Service: ScamAlert operates within Discord, and all members are expected to comply with Discord’s global community guidelines.
By participating in ScamAlert, you agree to the following responsibilities:
Accountability: You are solely responsible for your interactions, posts, and scam reports. While ScamAlert provides a platform for alerts and discussions, members must exercise personal discretion when acting on shared information.
Content Accuracy: Users must verify any information they share to ensure accuracy. Misinformation can cause unnecessary panic or confusion and is discouraged.
Security Awareness: ScamAlert provides scam-related knowledge and warnings, but users must make independent security decisions when engaging online or handling financial matters.
Data Sharing & Transparency: ScamAlert may compile scam reports and user feedback to improve educational resources, but no private user data is sold or misused.
Our moderation team is dedicated to maintaining ScamAlert as a safe space for discussing scams and fraud prevention. Actions may be taken against users violating these terms, including but not limited to:
Warnings & Temporary Suspensions: Minor infractions may result in temporary restrictions or warnings from moderators.
Permanent Bans & Account Removal: Severe violations, including intentional misinformation, scam promotion, or harassment, may lead to immediate and permanent removal from the all or some Scam Alert Channels such as website, server, and access to the bot.
Legal Escalation: If illegal or fraudulent activities are discovered, ScamAlert may collaborate with relevant authorities to prevent harm.
We reserve the right to take any of the following action not limited to if we deem it necessary to do so be it whether there is a reason or not.
While ScamAlert strives to provide accurate and timely scam alerts, members must acknowledge:
No Absolute Guarantee: ScamAlert does not guarantee the accuracy or effectiveness of all scam reports shared by members. While we verify reports to the best of our ability, users should always perform independent research.
No Financial or Legal Responsibility: ScamAlert is a community-based educational platform and is not responsible for any financial losses, personal harm, or legal consequences resulting from scams or fraudulent activities outside our control.
Users Assume Personal Risk: Members engaging with scam alerts or third-party links do so at their own discretion. ScamAlert does not endorse or validate any external content shared by users.
ScamAlert encourages active reporting of scam activities and violations within our community:
Reporting Scams: Users can submit scam alerts via our designated channels. Reports should be clear, factual, and include evidence if possible.
Reporting Violations: If you notice any user violating these Terms and Conditions, contact a moderator immediately. Reports will be handled confidentially.
Appealing Moderation Actions: If you believe a moderation action was unfair or incorrect, you may submit an appeal through our Discord support system.
We reserve the right to take action on any User regardless if they may or may not violate any of our policy(s).
As scams evolve and new threats arise, ScamAlert may update these Terms and Conditions to improve security and maintain community integrity. Updates will be communicated through:
