Scalt Records is stopping it's services

After nearly four years of dedication, music and collaboration, Scalt Records has reached the point where I, Nathan du Buy, as CEO, have made the difficult decision to end the label. It is with pain in my heart that I have chosen to take this step, but unfortunately this is the end of an era for us.

What will happen to the content?

The content released under Scalt Records will remain on the digital streaming platforms (DSPs) for the next five years. After these five years, the contracts will expire and all content will be removed from the platforms. This gives the artists time to decide on their future, while we ensure that the existing content remains on the platforms for a reasonable period of time.

I want to thank everyone for their incredible support and trust over the years. This has been an adventure of the heart and soul, and I am grateful for all the artists who have been a part of this label, and for the listeners who have supported their work.

This is not a goodbye forever - the music remains for a decent period, and I am proud of all we have accomplished. Thank you for everything.

Porting old releases to DSP's

Starting on the 15th of may 2024 we are porting older releases of Scalt Records to the major DSP's, this includes all releases from the start of F0XVerse to the first release on DSP's.

Releases will be available sometime after 23th of may 2024.

Plans for 2024

We are currently in discussions with Beatport to distribute all music to Beatport as well. We have also already achieved one goal and that is to release our own ISRCs and UPC/EAN13s. yet other goals are to get more exposure for the label. Also we have now found and created another kind of "standard" cover art style, you can find it: here

Okay and the next thing is that we are in talks to use SoundExchange, this is the 5th goal of this year.

Overtune changes his name to "OVRTNE"

Overtune, the founder and owner of Scalt Records has changed his artist name "Overtune" to "OVRTNE", the reason he did this is because Overtune didn't get the recgognition he wanted. When you search "Overtune" on all platforms you get a strange guy from 2015 on "Aqualoop Records" or somthing. So he decided that the new name will be: "OVRTNE"
