1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Scale for Grams ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Scale for Grams is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to estimate the weight of objects from photographs. The App provides approximate weight estimations and is not a precision measurement instrument. Weight estimates are generated by AI and may vary in accuracy depending on the object, photo quality, lighting conditions, and other factors.

3. Important Disclaimers About Accuracy

THE APP PROVIDES WEIGHT ESTIMATIONS ONLY. It is not a certified scale, measurement device, or precision instrument. Weight estimates are approximate and should not be relied upon for any purpose requiring exact measurements, including but not limited to:

• Medical or pharmaceutical dosing

• Commercial transactions where exact weight is required by law

• Shipping where precise weight determines regulatory compliance

• Scientific research requiring calibrated measurements

• Any situation where inaccurate weight measurement could cause harm

You acknowledge and agree that all weight estimates provided by the App are approximations and that you use these estimates at your own risk.

4. Subscription and Payments

Free Tier

The App offers a limited free tier that includes 1 weight estimation per day.

Premium Subscriptions

Premium access is available through the following subscription options:

• Yearly Intro plan: $1.99 for one month then, $24.99 per year

• Yearly Plan: $24.99 per year with a 3-day free trial

Payment and Renewal

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of your selected plan.

• You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Account Settings in the App Store after purchase.

• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time. Price changes will take effect at the start of the next subscription period following the date of the price change. Your continued use of the App after a price change constitutes your agreement to pay the modified subscription fee.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws

• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App

• Use the App to infringe on the rights of others

• Attempt to circumvent any subscription limitations or security measures

• Use automated systems to access the App in a manner that exceeds reasonable use

• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell access to the App

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including all content, features, functionality, design, code, and AI models, is owned by the developer and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

7. Photos and User Data

Photos taken within the App are processed by our AI service to generate weight estimates. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how your photos and data are handled.

8. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services for AI processing and payment handling. These services are subject to their own terms of use and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party service providers.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES OR REPRESENTATIONS ABOUT THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY WEIGHT ESTIMATES PROVIDED BY THE APP.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP OR RELIANCE ON ANY WEIGHT ESTIMATES PROVIDED BY THE APP.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the developer from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted within the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
