Stefano Bovino Associate Professor of Astrochemistry Sapienza University of Rome
Hi, I'm Stefano Bovino, Associate Professor of Astrochemistry at the Chemistry Department, Sapienza University of Rome. Educated as a quantum chemist I joined the astrophysics community in 2012 when I started to work in the Computational Astrophysics Group in Goettingen. My work encompasses the complex microphysical processes affecting the formation and evolution of star- and planet forming regions, and the interstellar medium out of which stars form. As a computational scientist I mainly work on three-dimensional hydrodynamical simulations and astrochemical modelling. In the last years I also started experimental projects aimed at understanding the interaction between gas and dust grains, and the formation of precursors of complex molecules in gas-phase.
