The Houston Seoul Baptist Church Youth Culture Ministry ("we," "us," or "our") operates the SBCH DRIM mobile application. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information and your rights regarding the deletion of your data.
We provide the SBCH DRIM app as a free service for our congregation. To provide interactive features such as the Message Board and RSVP systems, we collect the following limited information:
Authentication Data (Google & Apple): To use the Message Board, users may sign in via Google or Apple. We access your name and email address to create and identify your account.
Apple Sign-In: If you choose "Hide My Email," we only receive a unique, anonymous relay address provided by Apple.
Profile Information: We may store and display your profile photo URL to identify your posts to other members of the community.
User Content: Text content, replies, and images posted to the Message Board or responses submitted via RSVP are stored in our database. This information is used solely to facilitate church communication and event planning.
We respect your right to privacy and provide a clear, in-app path to delete your account and all associated data:
How to Delete: Users can initiate the deletion process by navigating to the "Church Info" (교회 정보) page and selecting "Delete Account" (계정 및 게시물 삭제 신청).
Scope of Deletion: Upon your request:
All messages, replies, and RSVP entries associated with your Unique Identifier (UID) will be identified for removal.
Your authentication record will be disabled.
All personal data linked to your account will be permanently purged from our primary Firebase database.
Retention Period: While your ability to post or interact is revoked immediately upon request, the permanent removal of data from our systems and backups will be completed within 7 business days.
We utilize industry-standard third-party services to maintain the app’s infrastructure. These providers only have access to your information to perform specific tasks on our behalf:
Firebase (Google): Used for secure user authentication and real-time data storage.
Apple Inc.: Used to facilitate the "Sign in with Apple" service for iOS users.
WebViews: Our app integrates external content (Instagram and Google Calendar). When interacting with these views, your data is subject to the privacy policies of Instagram (Meta) and Google.
We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information. We use commercially acceptable means of protecting it, including Firebase's built-in security rules and encrypted HTTPS connections. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.
The App requires the following permissions to function:
Internet Access: To sync messages, RSVPs, and load photo albums.
Photo Library (Optional): Required only if you choose to upload a photo to the Message Board.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
