If the assignment is a discussion post, you will need to select "Reply" on the screen under the directions for the assignment. A text box will appear for you to type your assignment in the box, but be aware that the page may time out. We recommend typing your assignment submission on a different program, then copy/paste it into the text submission box.

What is a Media Recording Submission?
If an assignment identifies the submission type as a media recording, this means you will turn in either a video or an audio file.
How would a video or audio recording be made?
Canvas has these tools embedded in the assignment type. When the teacher selects a media recording, you can use the tool to make recordings using your Chromebook camera and microphone.
What if I make a recording using another device or program? Can I use that instead?
Yes. As long as you save the file in your Google Drive provided by the District, you can upload audio and video files into Canvas to be submitted as your assignment.
