STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The purpose and mission of Southside Baptist Church are:

To proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to all people;
To support the work of missions in our church, our country, and the world;
To worship Jesus Christ through the Word, prayer, music, and stewardship so all people might be drawn closer to God and each other through His love;
To teach and disciple our people as Jesus taught His disciples;
To strengthen our own lives and to reach the lost for Christ through Bible study and prayer;
To minister to the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of our community and our church family in the name of Jesus Christ;
To unite our hearts in fellowship with other Christians that we might be strengthened, edified, and encouraged to serve the Lord and reach the lost.
