Aortic Regurgitation
Landolfi's Sign - pupil dilatation in diastole
Landolfi's Sign - pupil dilatation in diastole
Landolfini’s sign
Where severe aortic regurgitation causes the pupil to dilate in diastole and contract in systole
Mechanism:
It is believed to be a result of an exaggeration of the physiologic circulatory hippus in the iridial vessels due to the high pulse pressure and large stroke volume, thereby resulting in systolic constriction and diastolic dilation of the pupil
