YOUR VOICE MATTERS
The Youth Poet Laureate program empowers young people to use their voice and engage with their communities. The program provides participants with opportunities to perform and publish in broadsides, anthologies, and more.
We invite young people to submit their work to be published in broadside format. Broadsides will be shared on our website and social media platforms, and displayed in local venues throughout the county.
Write and submit up to 3 original poems (40 lines or less) about social issues that matter to you.

Participants are eligible to apply for the positions of Santa Barbara County’s first Youth Poet Laureate and Poet Ambassadors. The top 5 submissions will be published as broadsides and displayed.
