Approximately 6.2 millions of animals are entering the shelters nationwide and almost million of them are getting euthanized every year. Shelters do not have proper food and basic medical care for the "prisoners"
As always, people rely on others and feel that somebody else would take care of it. There are almost 100 million of dogs and cats living in the households in the US and 80% of this number was taking form a breeder. People spend from $1000-$5000 for an animal to just have a "proper" animal with documents, whereas "regular" animals are in need of attention and a proper care.
