South Appalachia Youth Lacrosse (sayLAX) is Blount County Lacrosse!
sayLAX filed Articles of Incorporation with the State of Tennessee in the Spring of 2017 and is an IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization based in, and serving, Blount County and all surrounding communities.
sayLAX was founded by residents of Blount County TN who wanted more opportunities for their children and all children that are all too often excluded from healthy activities due cost, distance, or even ability. Being a part of a team is one of life's most important experiences. Through the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat we learn about self-esteem, discipline, respect, perseverance, leadership, setting goals, and living to fulfill dreams. sayLAX strives to provide programs in which participants will have the opportunity to learn what it is to be a team member, to discover the joy of sport, and to become more physically active.
Playing Lacrosse allows our children to experience healthier lifestyles - sayLAX programs strive to combat sedentary behaviors and get kids moving.
sayLAX sponsors Lacrosse programs with the primary goal of making healthy physical activity accessible to all youth in our communities. By establishing eligibility guidelines to promote a safe and sportsmanlike environment we create a "level playing field" among all players of similar age.
sayLAX is committed to the reality that every young person deserves the opportunity to participate in the sport of Lacrosse without the barriers of cost, distance, or athletic ability. Through community and municipal teamwork sayLAX is committed to improving accessibility to physical activities and providing life-long opportunities for our community's residents within a safe and energetic environment.
