Who is conducting this survey?
This survey is part of an evaluation being conducted by the META Lab at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.
What is being evaluated?
We are administering a survey as a part of a two-year evaluation of police and community relations in the Salinas area.
Who can participate in the survey?
This survey is open to all persons aged 18 and older who live in Salinas, CA.
How long will the survey take?
This survey will take about 14 minutes.
What does the survey ask of me?
We want to know about your experience and personal opinions about the current relationship between the Salinas community and the police.
Is this like a test?
Please be critical and honest in all of your answers. There are no right or wrong answers.
Do I have to answer every question?
Your experience and opinions are important to us, but you don't have to answer any questions that you do not feel comfortable answering. Please keep in mind, however, that this survey is anonymous and that we will not be able to identify you by your answers.
Do I have to enter my name and address on the survey?
Your participation is entirely voluntary and your name and other personal information will not be connected to the survey. You will not need to sign anything. All responses are anonymous and will be kept confidential.
