President's Greeting

Welcome to the Sayen PTA page. We know that this year will be unlike any other year and myself and your PTA officers are excited about what the year has to bring for our students and teacher.  On behalf of all of the PTA officers, I welcome you to Sayen.

Let me tell you a little about me.  My name is Danielle Hoskins-Green and I currently have a fourth grader at Sayen.  My son is a previous graduate of Sayen and I have had the last few years to see all that Sayen has to offer from their dedicated teachers and administration to the many families that walk through the doors every day.  I was excited about the opportunity to take on the role as President to help ensure that we continue to bring great quality programs and activities to our students and create a strong partnership with our teachers, administration and board of education.  

We would like to thank the administration and teachers for all the work that has gone in to preparing for the beginning of this school year.  In partnership with our administration, teachers, school board, board of education and Sayen families we look to embrace our new normal and still be a group that is there to ensure each student has an experience they will remember throughout the years. 

How can you get involved? I would like to take this opportunity to extend an invitation to become a member of the Sayen Elementary PTA. You do not need to be an officer or even a chair of a committee to be a part of this fantastic group. All you have to be is an involved family member of a Sayen student. Our PTA Chat is typically the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m, both in person and on Zoom.  I encourage you to join us to see how we can work together to make our children’s year meaningful and impactful. PTA chats are open to any special person in our Sayen students’ lives and inclusive and you’ll be able to hear from and connect with many of our Sayen leadership (Principal, teachers, etc.), so you can also be informed about what is happening daily and engaged with the people that help make it all happen for our children.

This is a unique school year for both our teachers and students with many new adventures. We still need you, your help, and your great ideas to continue to be the productive and active PTA that we are.
