SAYEG, Earth Day 2021
Saturday, April 24th, 10 AM till 12:30 PM
Here’s the plan we are gardening with Campbellton Rd. Community Garden, located at 1597 Campbellton Rd SW, Atlanta, GA 30311. We are going to meet the members of this local garden find out which fruits and vegetables they are planting and harvesting now and help with all projects. We will learn how to grow in our own yards or in pots on our porches and windowsills and if we will take home some fresh fruits and veggies from the garden.
So get ready to put on your boots, gloves, and hats, and let’s put our hands in the soil and pay homage to Earth Day 2021 in SW Atlanta. We have great takeaways planned for our attendees to help get started with growing their own goodies.

Hello Parents, I am a community engagement leader, an Environmental Justice Academy certified environmentalist, grant writer, and community activist. I have produced the Adams Park Cultural Arts Festival, APCAFEST for ten years and served on NPU-R for three years. I graduated from Full Sail University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Entertainment.
We live in nature and our children must become familiar and know that they can grow their own food, hike waterfalls and enjoy over 600 acres of green space here in beautiful SW Atlanta. SAYEG will teach your child how to care for our lush green spaces and urban communal areas, how to grow their own food, and to volunteer and serve in our green communities that are unique to other areas of the city.
Green jobs are the future and southwest Atlanta is the area to practice environmentalism.
Adriana Owens
Program Manager
Hello, my name is Adriana Owens and I am so very delighted to be a part of the SAYEG and our upcoming events. SAYEG gives me the opportunity to work with some amazing people and to be educated on environmental issues, natural resources, and the best practices for keeping our communities clean and safe.
With tons and experience working in the child care industry, I look forward to combining two to three of my passions... working with youth and working with nature. My third passion which is also dear to me is designing jewelry and I look forward to implementing this within our upcoming 2021 summer environ camp programming in June.
