I am well experienced in a variety of scanning probe techniques and often tried to combine them with electrical transport measurements that gives us a global idea of the sample electronic properties as opposed to the local nature of the former techniques. Further, I have a good understanding of standard nano-fabrication techniques and can handle cryogenic setups like dilution refrigerators. I think I am quite skilled at programming and thoroughly enjoy data analysis or writing codes for hardware interfacing and thereby learning new tricks on the way. Being a thorough and well organized person, I often like to get to the bottom of things and gain as much clarity as possible.
Scanning Probe Microscopy (AFM, STM, KPFM, EFM, MFM) both at room temperature and cryogenic environment.
Handling of dilution refrigerator.
Fabrication of scanning probes (based on length extension resonators and tuning forks) for combined AFM-STM.
Nanofabrication: Optical Lithography, e-beam lithography, graphene exfoliation and contacting, metal deposition by e-gun evaporation, nanochemistry, microbonding.
Other sample observation & characterization techniques: Raman Spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy
Electronics: optimization of electronic circuits for achieving better signal to noise ratio, mostly by addressing sources of vibrations and ground loop connections. Have practical knowledge on basic electronic circuits like Operational amplifiers, filters, phase shifters, voltage dividers etc.
